I first tried mixing it with cold water and drinking it which I found to be unbearable…just yesterday, I put a packet in my smoothie and it worked out great!

Thanks Margaret! I bought the packets that you mix with water. Tomorrow marks three weeks in and I don’t feel like I even need a supplement for appetite due to my appetite being under control…finally!!

Hi Lindsay…I am on day 6 and my cravings come and go. I quit sugar cold turkey and thought I would be crying or would have killed someone by now. Sometimes when I am driving I feel like I could eat a room full of chocolate. I am upping my supplement uptake starting tomorrow morning…just bought cinnamon supplement and PGX hoping that they…[Read more]

    • Hi Susan, I use PGX capsules by NaturalFactors. I purchased them at a health food store. Many people are using packets rather than capsules. there are a couple different brands. If you have the BSS book PGX is discussed in there. I would say that what works for you will work for this plan. You can order PGX from the store on this site.

I have a question about something I made tonight and wondered if it’s acceptable. I made short grain brown rice and opened up a can of black beans. Placed the beans on low heat and added some cumin, chili powder, and a dash of cinnamon. When the rice was finished I had a 1/2 cup of that with about a half a cup of the beans on top. It was…[Read more]

    • I have noticed that can black beans tend to have sometype of sugar within the ingredients. Make sure they don’t, check the label before hand, or just use dried beans and put them in a water a few hours to 24 hours in advance. Also, are you in the advance plan or the basic plan? Rice Isn’t allowed in the advance plan, but If you are fand of the…[Read more]

    • Hi Susan, If you are on the advanced BSS plan that meal will not work. I think the basic plan allows only 1/2 cup of grains or beans a day. You will have to check in the nutritional download info. I was on the advanced plan and that many carbs would have caused a real problem.
Stay well and keep posting, Margaret

I just bought a Ninja blender and it works GREAT for smoothies. Was surprised that for $99.00 I could blend a couple cups of spinach, several frozen strawberries, flax oil, kiwi, and a touch of coconut milk to a smooth finish!
