Living dangerously watching a food program. I steer clear of looking at cook books, food magazines and food programs these days. Just no used feeling any frustration about what I can not eat when there are so many good things I can eat. Nicole

I normally avoid all those things, too, but since the local was London, and my daughter lives in the East end, I like to tell her about good places to eat. I am ok. Tea and almonds did the trick!

Hi Tracy, Isn’t it great how the cravings get less and less. After a few months, I was having ‘thoughts’ about foods rather than strong urges to eat certain things. I had the flu, then a cold, then bronchitis….Gained my holiday 7 lbs. So starting last Sunday I made the same vow to follow the BBS plan to the tee. Day 4 wk 1! so far so good.

Seems we are experiencing similar gains and illnesses and delays in reaching our respective goals. I am on day 1 of week 1 of getting back to basics and doing what works. Here’s wishing us both success in the (near!) future!!

Hi Tracy, the old website didn’t have a way to search for recipes either. It would be nice if it did! What I do is, if someone posts a recipe I might want to try, I click on Favorite under the posting. It will be saved under My Favorites for when I’m ready to try it. You might want to scroll through the Recipes sub group to find the ones…[Read more]

i have a question about tomatoes. Are they allowed on the advanced plan? or are they considered a fruit to be avoided?

Tomatoes are fine, use organic canned tomatoes or locally grown organic tomatoes if possible. I eat local tomatoes when available then used canned the rest of the year.

In reply to: JANINE posted an update in the group Energy I climbed 50 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS as part of my Saturday workout! Viewthat is wonderful. I just registered for a Race to the Top which is 50 flights. I am only up to 15 flights at a time now but hope to build up to 50 by the end of March. Great going.

Thanks for that spark of hope. It’s really great to feel in control and to know that the advanced plan is a great way to get back on track with weight loss. I am starting back on the advance plan tomorrow. I lost 22 lb during the first six weeks and off all meds. The last six weeks I have maintained the weight loss and even lost a couple more pounds. I am going back on the advance plan for another 6 weeks to make sure I continue this new way of life and see if I can drop another 10 lbs. This time…[Read more]

I made some cookies this week that I ate some too. I make them small now 1/2 tbs scoop so when I do eat one they are not huge.
