Today is day 1 of the 8 week program for me. Started off the morning with a protein shake, and packed a yummy chicken and arugala salad for lunch. Glad to finally be starting and looking forward to looking and feeling better. Anyone else starting today?

    • Best of wishes on your program. With your up beat attitude you will surely succeed!. Blessings, MArgaret

    • I am starting today with the ultrametabolism 3 week detox (phase 1). What is the 8 week prog?

    • Congraulations! I am starting week 2 of prep today, so I am just getting started as well. I am also looking forward to looking and feeling better. The possibilities seem endless!

      • Nicole, great to know we’re almost on same timeline. So I am following you. Can you share with me about your week 1? Are you journaling or exercising yet? Yes, the possibilities seem endless and exciting!

        • I printed off the checklist from this site for the first two prep weeks, and did as many of those things as possible. I did start journaling, which was extremely helpful. I was a little skeptical at first because I’ve never been much of a writer, but it really helped me articulate my weight loss and health goals, and is helping me stay grounded on this journey. Then I also spent a lot of time thinking about and writing down my obstacles and how to overcome them. I also tried to be more conscious of what I was eating, even though week 1 of prep doesn’t have any specific food restrictions, and I felt better even after just small changes. I haven’t started an official exercising regimen yet, as I am trying to take it one step at a time so that I don’t feel overwhelmed. However, I went for a 2 hikes over the weekend with my dog, which we both loved! How is it going so far for you?

          • I printed the same list yesterday and am trying to do it step by step. I may be getting ahead of myself, but I did cut out all sugar and coffee this week. I am not a big coffee drinker anyway, so honestly won’t be too hard for me. The sugar on the other hand will be hard. No doubt I have an addiction to it. I noticed yesterday after my lunch and dinner meals I craved sweetness. But I am just going to journal myself through that. The biggest thing I did over the weekend was buy plenty of healthy whole food for the week. I roasted a chicken on sunday, peeled off the skin, and shredded all the meat. This will last me all week for various lunch and dinner options. I’d never roasted a chicken before and was surprised how easy it is. I know in the past my challenge has been planning well and being well stocked and prepped with the right food. I have walunts in my work drawer and fruit on my desk. So these should be healthier options. The funny thing is that in reading the book it seems so easy and so complicated at the same time. I’m also still learning to navigate the this website. But I’m only on day two, so just very excited. Thanks for ”listening”, and wishing you a great prep week two.

            • Thanks! I agree that it’s easy and complicated at the same time. Maybe that has more to do with my state of mind at that particular moment in time. Great idea with the roasted chicken! I’ll have to try it!
