HI ALL! I have been doing well. I bought a Paleo Recipe Book and found that those following a Paleo diet are really doing alot of the same things that I am when reading the Blood Sugar Solution. So, to branch out a bit on the recipes I started cooking a lot of Paleo and I am enjoying them tremendously. It’s a largely Anti-inflammatory diet and…[Read more]

I am down one whole clothes size and soon to be two clothes sizes. 7 inches on my waist. Not sure how many pounds I lost because my scale broke BUT, I am guessing 30 lbs lost, conservatively. Yipee. I know you all thought I was gone, but I am not. Just super busy. Love ya and good luck all!

Hi Melissa, Good to see you. You have been a real motivator with your success. How is your husband doing?
It is fun buying the smaller sizes, unless you have a smaller wardrobe waiting in the wings.
Stay well, Margaret

In reply to: JANINE posted an update in the group Recipes A few weeks back I posted a recipe for ratatouille, which has become a summer staple for me. I make a large batch and freeze servings and toss them into a pan with a […] ViewI invested in a growing system in my backyard that allows me to grow all year round. If you go onto Youtube.com and type in “How to build a raised bed” or Hoop House, this is what I built in my backyard. Three 12 by 4 feet boxes with dirt cost me around $500.00. I cover the boxes with 6 mm plastic and grow in the wintertime, too. This is the…[Read more]

What a wonderful story! I have a small balcony that does not get direct son. I am experimenting with chard and lettuce. I do have pots of herbs, but they grow slowly. When I live in a house I did grow lots of veggies and herbs. I agree with you; it is a wonderful feeling picking the herbs and whole food to use, and so much fun to watch grow.

So many of them contain ingredients that would be considered MSG, or that produce free glutamate which some people are sensitive to and in my opinion, should be avoided altogether. Weight & Obesity 11 months agoWow! It seems my metabolism hit another speed-up, I am down 23.5 lbs. I have been at this since May. Hi Melissa,
Thanks for the recipe. I love that you grow so many vegetables. Isn’t it fun going out to pick your bounty?
I really miss pizza myself. I was not so creative, I went to an artisanal pizza place and had some real pizza. It worked out ok, but that is probably because they used local organic ingredients and made their own sausage. I…[Read more]-

Weight & Obesity 11 months, 1 week agoOK, I am wondering something. Janine, you said that your blood levels were adversely affected by your eating red meat, lamb and shrimp with whole eggs. Here is my question. How much of each serving were you eating in the month of the red meat? Also, was the meat that you were eating Grass Fed Organic Beef or was it conventional grain-fed beef? I…[Read more]

Hi, Melissa,
Great question I am happy to answer. I believe each serving of regular, not organic, beef was about 4-6 ounces each time. With the lamb, I think the servings were about 4-6 ounces each, as well. I cannot yet afford to purchase organic, and I rarely eat red meats, but I was bored with all the fish and chicken. I also had 2 each 4…[Read more]-
