I want to get my weight loss underway. My current problem is motivation and the lack of energy. Trying to eat is harder than imagined. I have been used to processed foods all my life. I feel like I am trying to force myself to change my religion….its something I want to do but past practices are apparently ingrained in my brain. I eat portion sizes and try to choose the best foods. For instance, I am about to make dinner but I am not hungry. I am making a grill chicken breast with steamed broccoli with added spices – even though I don’t feel like eating. Today for breakfast I had 1/2 c. oatmeal with 1% milk and 5 strawberries. For snack, I had low fat active live cottage cheese – I love that stuff! For lunch, I had a turkey and ham sandwich with cheese and mayo with no high fructose corn syrup on 12 grain bread with no HFCS as well and a cup of NSA mandarin orange slices; For my 2nd snack I had the same thing as the first snack; throughout the day I had a few almonds and also a total of maybe 1 cup of coffee made with the items here at work – which was not a good choice. I have tried to like coffee and tea without the fixings but the taste is too bitter. I don’t feel I need to caffeine but the warmth of the beverage just makes me feel calm. I have not exercised all week because I have just simply been too tired and its been very dreary outside. I took my dog out with me last week and we did a total of 10 miles+ but this week is just blah! Just wondering what else I could do. I have a limited budget so some things cannot be bought on a regular basis. When I went to look for the gluten free bread-it was the size of a half of a regular loaf and costs almost $6! The same thing happened when I went to buy some Quinoa-$7!!! That’s ridiculous. I cannot afford to get items this pricey on a regular basis. There are also things that I just do not like. I should not have to feel like I am being tortured to get myself to eat well. Anyway, any suggestions would be awesome!
