Magnesium L-threonate is a unique form of magnesium that crosses the blood-brain barrier, making it particularly effective for brain function, mood, and cognition. Researchers recently explored its effects on sleep and performance in middle-aged adults with sleep issues. Participants took either one gram of magnesium L-threonate or a placebo daily for 21 days and tracked their sleep with subjective questionnaires and Oura Ring data.
